Why is it SO hard to eradicate Corynebacterium bovis from a contaminated facility?


A review of potential sources of recontamination and preventive measures.

Speaker: Dr. Marie Debrue DVM MSc DACLAM


Bio:

Dr. Marie Debrue received her D.V.M. from the University of Liege in Belgium in 2001. After receiving her DVM, she practiced for a year in equine and small animal practice. She moved to Montreal where she completed a Master in Science in 2004 at The University of Montreal in Quebec in Equine Internal Medicine investigating cytokine profile in bronchoalveolar lavage of horses affected by heaves.

Following the completion of her Master, Dr Debrue worked for four years at Charles River preclinical Services Montreal in the Pathology Department as a Research Scientist were she was notably responsible of the scientific supervision of the necropsy and the interpretation of fertility studies.

Marie joined Pfizer in 2009 as a clinical veterinarian/deputy named veterinary surgeon at the Sandwich UK site and then as the Attending and clinical veterinarian at the LaJolla site where she lead the CM Veterinary Sciences and Technology team. She recently transferred to Kendall Square and is currently Associate Director of Research Support and Veterinary Services. She is responsible of providing veterinary care as well as scientific and research support to the different lines on site. Dr Debrue is chairing the Pfizer Biosecurity Global team responsible to optimize and harmonize the biosecurity processes to maintain Pfizer vivaria Specific Pathogen Free.
